What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance tuning of on-prem SQL Server environments
- Install, configure, and patch SQL Server instances, including managing SQL Server Agent jobs
- Maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, providing support to application teams and vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database systems and processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience in Information Technology
- Strong understanding of SQL Server database administration
- Ability to work independently on routine database administration tasks
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Familiarity with cloud database technologies, including Google Cloud SQL and Postgres
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and scripting languages like T-SQL, Python, or PowerShell
