- Develop and Improve Business Processes for cross-platform DbaaS (Database as-a Service) including Oracle, SQL Server, Mongo, Maria, Cassandra.
- Develop and Improve Technical Documentation for Internal DBA group, external technical interfacing teams (Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture) and Application Teams.
- Provide Cross-Platform Leadership and Engagement to DBA Team.
- Develop and Provide direction for new DbaaS technologies. Provide Leadership of DBA Team and Engagement with various other teams (infrastructure, ITSM).
- Technical Project Engagement for new DB Release, new OS Releases, Architecture design changes, etc. Work with PM Team to set correct expectations and provide input for timelines / interlocks.
- Lead Testing for all Integration Systems (ServiceNow, NewRelic, DB Platforms)
- Performs analysis of complex functional and business requirements and interact with DBA and application owners.
- Participates in cross-functional teams. Leads design activities May provide mentoring and guidance to other developers. Designs, prepares and executes Unit tests. Represents DBA in meeting with App and Business owners.
- Demonstrates technical leadership, and exerts influence outside of immediate team. Contributes to strategic direction for teams.
- Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to provide maintenance solutions across one or more technology areas (e.g. Database Administration).
- Integrates technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for the company and customers. Mentors and consults with team members and other organizations, App owners and vendors on complex issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
- Extensive experience with multiple Database technologies including SQL. Server, Oracle, MongoDB, or MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL.
- Infrastructure architecture experience.
- Project Management Experience.
- Strong SQL language programming and scripting skills
- Understanding of database HA strategies
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Communicate/work effectively in a team environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills; influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team. Demonstrated technical leadership skills.
- Advanced understanding of modern software development methodologies.
- Advanced understanding of modern software development tools.
- Advanced understanding of Software Test methodologies
- General Project Management. Customer/ Vendor Management. Business Analysis.
