      The Nokia Deepfield Test Engineering team is a global team of technical experts that help our software development teams validate product requirements and address defects before product release. Test Engineers are integrated in development teams and actively participate in all aspects of the SDLC. With development, we collaborate with product and project teams to create test plans, develop tests, and execute against code changes as the software is created to ensure business requirements and expectations are met. We believe that quality is not the responsibility of a single person and is a core value that needs to be instilled in the entire organization. We are advocates for quality without sacrificing velocity, using creative solutions to ensure functionality.

      This role of Senior Software Engineer in Test is one that creates and leverages innovative test strategies to ensure and advocate for the quality of our analytics solution! Integrating and collaborating with top talent developers and test engineers, leveraging your knowledge of Python / React / RTL / Puppeteer / CICD and test methodology, you’ll help promote testable code and standards that facilitate reliable end to end, integration, unit and performance tests.

      Qualifications

      • Strong knowledge of Networking and Analytics.
      • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing / Switching, and network management is desired.
      • A familiarity with Python test frameworks and software development (Python, PyTest, Behave, K6, etc.) is necessary.
      • The ability for the Test Engineer to dive deep and use exceptional problem-solving skills to answer technical questions is essential.
      • Strong sense of ownership, initiative and responsibility is essential for this role.
      • The Test Engineer is a subject matter expert on analytics and the Deepfield solution.
      • Deep knowledge of IP Networking who has a passion for automated testing and quality.
      • Ability to thrives in a complex, fast-moving environment.

      Responsibilities

      Responsibilities:

      • Help ensure that the Deepfield Network Analytics product is free from defects, advocate for quality, and engineer innovative strategies to ensure the functionality of our product.
      • Provide feedback and document defects in Jira on Deepfield Product (Cloud Intelligence, Subscriber Intelligence, Operational Intelligence, Defender DDoS) defects. Your focus will be on Network Analytics.
      • Become a Network Analytics subject matter expert.
      • Develop expertise to find, triage, debug, and reproduce Network Analytics defects.
      • Work closely with R&D to promote quality and create innovative test strategies.
      • Integrate in a development team with a focus on quality.
      • Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle,
      • Create test plans and execute against those plans to ensure product functionality.
      • Recommend ways to improve test frameworks that increase velocity and aid with release cadence.
      • Report and track defects in Jira.
      • Work alongside industry leaders in Networking and Analytics.
      • Engage with the Test Engineering team.
      • Share lessons learned.
      • Work collaboratively with other test engineers and developers focused on other areas of the product.
      • Take ownership of automated test suites to track regressions and defects in the product.

In 2016 the Nokia brand re-entered the mobile handset market through a licensing agreement with HMD Global, allowing them to offer phones under the Nokia brand.
