      Here at Capita we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced firefighter to join our knowledgeable and experienced team as a Delivery Coach specialising in operational firefighter programme.

      This role is responsible for delivering training both face to face and remotely to a cohort of learners these could be existing and trainee firefighters to equip them with the skills needed to deliver this critical training.

      We are looking for someone with a background as a firefighter who has delivered some training during their career who would now like to turn this into a full-time role. This role is predominantly home based however there will be some travel to visit your cohort to deliver face to face content, initially your cohort will be based in the Leicestershire area however this will change over the course of the role depending upon the needs of the business.

      Job Description:

      What you will be doing:

      • Develop a learning pathway that enables apprentices to work towards achievement of the Standard

      • Identify and assess learners’ needs and put in place robust learning plans, with realistic and challenging goals, that enable learners to understand their personal journey and realise their potential

      • Actively support, coach and motivate learners across the entire learner journey to help them with the progress towards achievement of the Standard and their end point assessment.

      • Contact will be varied and might include group delivery, face to face, email, Skype, webinars etc

      What we are looking for:

      • an experienced firefighter

      • experience of delivering training within the fire service

      • good knowledge of the operational firefighter programme

      • excellent communication skills

      • the ability to proactively manage own workload
