      At a glance

      • Hybrid Working - This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home and the London / Bracknell Head Office.

      • Our Delivery & Operations team currently works from the office 2 - 3 days a week to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings, but again the frequency is dependent on the business needs.

      • Salary range - The salary range for this role is set at £57,600 - £92,400

      • Contract type - This position is a permanent position.

      About the role

      The Delivery Lead will work within one or more multi skilled agile delivery teams taking new products from idea through to implementation in support of our Business Strategy.

      The Delivery Lead has advanced skills in lean and agile techniques and will deliver continuous improvement. They will have experience in designing and implementing systems of work on a number of teams and projects.

      The Delivery Lead will ensure that there is focus on delivering value to the customers in support of our Business goals and will act as an immediate escalation point to unblock issues and impediments.

      You will have both depth and breadth in your skills. The depth will be in your core skills. The breadth means that you have sufficient capability in other skills to allow the team to deliver greater value.

      You will also focus on developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships, demonstrating effective influencing skills.

      What you’ll do

      • Embrace Agile working principles by demonstrating a flexible approach to working, joining missions as needed and / supporting colleagues to secure the success of the mission.

      • SAFe Portfolio Agile proven background and experience of rolling these capabilities out and developing others in SAFe

      • Optimise cost of delivery by effectively using Partners and 3rd Parties

      • Ensure all teams / services have clear OKRs

      • Own the ways of working in capabilities and encourage safe experimentation in build and run

      • Implement architectural and business commerce strategy across your area

      • Excellent facilitator that enables conversations and workshops that have the right outcomes to support our Business Strategy

      • Inspire and motivate teams focused on creation of value to the Partnership. You are able to work closely with other Delivery Leads to deliver initiative outcomes for the Business

      • Has a toolkit of methods and techniques that can be used to collaboratively discuss and resolve issues.

      • Mitigate business risks while protecting throughput and business value

      • Assure operability delivery of your area

      • Background working in a triumvirate of Product, Engineering and Delivery

      • Operate within communities and share good practice across the JLIT Delivery Teams

      • Well respected as a servant/leader of teams

      • Respected across the organisation for coaching and collaboration

      • Utilise innovative methodologies and strategies to optimise value and flow to the Partnership

      • Works with 3rd Parties to build lasting mutually beneficial relationships where Delivery professional services are required

      • Develops and builds comprehensive delivery teams and thriving communities. Actively and demonstrably collaborates across the complex delivery landscape for shared growth and customer value.

      What you’ll have (Essential Skills)

      • Proven history of Agile Portfolio Delivery and will deliver continuous improvement

      • Ability to thrive in a complex dynamic IT environment, adept at managing ambiguity

      • Stakeholder Management

      • Financial Management, including Budgeting & Cost Control

      • Good Communication & Influencing Skills, both written & verbal

      • People & Task Management

      • Deep understanding & experience of Retail IT initiatives involving cross-functional expertise

      • Significant experience of agile ways of working including, Scrum and Kanban

      • Certification in SAFe agile and proven history implementing and effectively delivering using these skills

      • Proven track record working in an triumvirate Product Owner, Engineering and Delivery

      • Can plan effectively and is heavily outcome focused

      • Strong stakeholder management skills

      • Management of a team and background in developing team and wider team in SAFe agile methodologies

      • Has worked in a matrix management environment

      • Demonstrates integrity by effectively doing the right thing in the face of mounting pressure

      • Demonstrates a high level of personal accountability

      • Demonstrates a history of developing teams define elegant solutions for complex and potentially high value Business opportunities

      • Has consistently worked in a DevOps/Continuous Delivery.
