This will include working alongside the MDT including nursing staff and allied health professionals.

      We are a friendly team working towards improving dementia and delirium services within the hospital, in line with the national and local guidelines in dementia and delirium care. We are committed to promoting, delivering and implementing high standards of person-centred care for people living with dementia and experiencing delirium.

      We are looking for a colleague who has had significant prior experience of working with people living with dementia and / or experiencing delirium and their carers. As part of your role you may be expected to assist patients with activities of daily living promoting independence and well-being and supporting patients presenting with distress reactions. You must be confident in de-escalation and have experience in behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD).

      Winter period 2025 change from Poole Hospital to Royal Bournemouth, however will still be a service provision at Poole Hospital, therefore will remain cross site.

      Please note if the role or service is relocated as part of a planned move, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement. Travel from the postholder's home to the new work base will be considered a normal commute. Any other changes not related to this relocation will be managed according to the relevant Trust or National terms and conditions.
