What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review denied claims to determine appropriate course of action
- Interact with payers to determine true reason for denial and inquire on necessary corrections
- Collaborate with coding team to make necessary coding changes for corrected claims or appeals
- Create appeal cases stating deficiencies and resolutions
- Stay current with payer trends for submitting corrected claims and appeals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, problem solver, and team player
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in medical billing denials
- Knowledge of EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED), continuing education preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience as a Denial Specialist or similar role in medical billing and denials
