What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review denied claims to determine appropriate course of action
- Interact with payers to determine reasons for denial and make necessary corrections
- Work with coding team to submit corrected claims or appeals
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Patient Health Information (PHI)
- Identify billing trends and payment issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, and a team player
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in medical billing denials
- Knowledge of EOBs
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Continuing education in healthcare billing preferred
