What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the Dental Officer in various dental specialty sections, including restorative, oral surgery, and periodontics
- Retrieve patient records and prepare patients for dental procedures
- Prepare dental instruments and materials for procedures, ensuring a sterile environment
- Perform dental prophylaxis, screenings, and charting, while providing patient education
- Take radiographs and maintain dental equipment, ensuring proper infection control procedures

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Specialty training from a licensed dentist and/or certification from an accredited Dental Assistant school, including dental radiology
- Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Dental Assistant
- Bilingual oral communication skills are desirable
- Experience in a clinical correctional setting is preferred

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with dental hand instruments and mechanical instruments, including ultrasonic devices
- Knowledge of infection control procedures in a dental setting
- Familiarity with digital radiographic techniques and equipment
- Skills in fabricating and repairing dental prosthetics under supervision
- Ability to provide comprehensive dental health education to patients
