Job Description

- 2 years experience in surgery area preferred
- Computer sciences background or experience with Health Information Systems on PC applications preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Evaluates system development of the SurgiNet modules focusing on streamlining the surgery process, and conducts planning relevant to system implementation
- Audits surgical records on a daily basis for accuracy, charges and stats in a timely manner
- Develops surgery policies, procedures and other pertinent documentation related to the SurgiNet System
- Creates database building worksheets and directs database building for the SurgiNet System
- Participates in the preparation of work plans to achieve project goals in conjunction with the Director of Surgery and the Surgery Departments of INTEGRIS Health
- Develops and utilizes audit procedures and testing criteria to insure data integrity and compliance with established project goals
- Collaborates with vendor, IS staff, and INTEGRIS staff in development of written test plans and scripting for unit, system, integration, stress volume and mock conversion
- Participates in defining support staff requirements in the data processing and user areas within the organization to meet project implementation objectives
- Participates in system implementation, on-site troubleshooting of system problems and educational support for surgery, nursing, ancillary, and IS personnel
- Reviews and updates project management reports related to project status on a weekly basis utilizing the IS project management system

The Systems Analyst SyrgiNet is responsible for development, implementation and support of the Surgery modules of the Cerner System within the framework of the philosophy, objectives and policies of the organization.

The Systems Analyst SyrgiNet reports to the Director Surgery.
This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Please consult the Physical Demands Project SharePoint site or contact Risk Management/Employee Health for additional information.
Occasional periods of high stress situations usually associated with productions problems, project schedules, and multiple simultaneous priorities.
Work requires extra hours to maintain project timeliness, during emergencies and when fulfilling on-call duties. Work may require rotations to evening and night shifts.
