      $60,383.00 - $75,479.00

You’ll mentor faculty, shape curriculum, support students, and ensure that our educational standards stay high and student-centered.       Key Responsibilities:

      Instructional Leadership and Faculty Oversight

      • Fulfills faculty responsibilities related to assigned teaching load
      • Conducts teaching observations and evaluations for full-time and adjunct faculty
      • Facilitates performance management and annual reviews
      • Resolves instructional complaints and inquiries from students
      • Refers faculty non-compliance with college policies to the Dean after initial interventions

      Departmental Planning and Operations

      • Consults on changes and assigns faculty to the annual class schedule
      • Supervises recruitment and hiring processes for departmental faculty and staff
      • Prepares and manages department operating budgets
      • Reviews and recommends changes to special course fees
      • Directs departmental work related to Dual Credit, Assessment, and Facilities

      Communication, Collaboration, and Compliance

      • Holds regular departmental meetings and maintains open communication with faculty
      • Actively collaborates in the School Leadership Team
      • Ensures maintenance of accurate departmental records
      • Reviews and approves/denies exceptions to academic requirements
      • Conveys the institution’s values through leadership and daily actions

      Institutional Engagement and Continuous Improvement

      • Resolves student inquiries related to course access and transferability
      • Performs other duties as assigned within a balanced workload
      • Supports college initiatives through participation in committees and projects

      What We're Looking For:

      • Master’s degree in a related discipline
      • Five years of demonstrated teaching excellence in a variety of courses at the post-secondary level.
      • Two years of leadership or supervisory experience. Leadership and supervisory experience in a post-secondary institution preferred
      • Demonstrated leadership experience
      • Experience in curriculum design, implementation, and oversight.
      • Significant knowledge of or experience in a community college setting preferred

      **Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week, eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring manager's discretion. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
