What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead project teams focused on implementing and enhancing modules within the Corrections Offender Management System (COMS)
- Participate in various project workgroups including Planning and Analysis, Design and Development, Testing, or Implementation
- Complete advanced maintenance and user support assignments for existing COMS modules
- Conduct requirements gathering, business process engineering, and security roles
- Assist in the retirement of legacy systems as the COMS implementation evolves
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must possess a bachelor's degree in any major
- Three years of professional experience, including one year equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service for the Departmental Analyst 12 position
- Two years of professional experience, including one year equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service for the Departmental Analyst P11 position
- Experience for Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience
- Experience for Departmental Analyst 9: No specific type or amount is required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience participating in the design, testing, or implementation of changes to a database system/application
- Experience working with large amounts of data for analysis or reporting
- Experience troubleshooting software application issues
- Experience providing customer support
- At least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may substitute for the education requirement
