What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Implement and evaluate statewide Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Prevention Grant Projects and Communicable Disease Prevention Plans
- Coordinate multilateral SUD, HIV/AIDS, TB, sexually transmitted diseases, and hepatitis prevention program development
- Provide monitoring and technical assistance services for federally funded prevention grant projects
- Collaborate with regional Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans (PIHPs), local service providers, SUD coalitions, and other agencies
- Assist in the documentation and reporting processes for grant-related activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
- Minimum of four years of professional experience, including two years at the experienced level or one year at the advanced level
- Experience working in substance use prevention and with federal or state-funded grants
- Ability to document relevant experience in the application process
- Must be able to confirm work location and schedule at the time of the interview
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in social services, health education, or a related major
- Advanced knowledge and experience in substance use prevention
- Familiarity with prevention programming and services
- Experience with software such as SharePoint, MS Word, and EGrAMS
