      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Advise on managing active and inactive records to ensure public access to City information in compliance with Washington State public disclosure laws
      - Develop and implement the Records Information Management (RIM) program, including staff training and creation of retention schedules
      - Ensure City-wide compliance with the Public Records Act; coordinate responses to public records requests and lead multi-department efforts
      - Oversee departmental technology systems, develop training materials, and collaborate with IT to resolve technical issues
      - Strengthen internal and external partnerships to enhance collective success

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Experience managing public records and responding to public records requests
      - Knowledge of Washington State public disclosure laws
      - Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate conflict and collaborate effectively
      - Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and systems with ease
      - Demonstrated reliability, consistency, and a strong work ethic

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Certification as a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) or Certified Public Records Officer (CPRO)
      - Experience in writing and training on records policies and procedures
      - More than 2 years of experience in municipal government administrative support work
