      We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Healthcare to join our busy team, primarily based at HMP YOI Moorland.

      In this exciting opportunity, you will split your time between HMP YOI Moorland, and HMP Hatfield - the sites are around 10 mins drive apart.

      HMP YOI Moorland is a category C men's prison and Young Offenders Institution, and HMP Hatfield is a Category D male and Young Offenders. Both are based in Hatfield, South Yorkshire.

      The sites offer a range of healthcare services including Physical Health, Mental Health, Pharmacy and Substance Misuse.

      Salary

      This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary of £49,000 - £57,000 depending on experience.

      Hours This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday between 08:00 - 16:00 / 09:00 - 17:00.

      Main duties of the job

      As our new Deputy Head of Healthcare, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

      • Work closely with the Head of Healthcare and senior team to deliver the best service possible to patients
      • Support all pathways that we offer - mental health, primary care etc
      • Work across the different sites, providing leadership to the clinical leads and wider healthcare team
      • Deputise for the Head of Healthcare when necessary
      • Have responsibility for the operational management of the service
      • Continuously review and assess the service being delivered
      • Review and improve standards and processes
      • Support the Head of Healthcare in delivering agreed contractual requirements and targets from NHS England and drive their strategic vision for the service
      • Ensure effective day-to-day operational management of all clinical services across the site
      • Ensure agreed standards are achieved by leading, developing and motivating your team, ensuring they receive appropriate managerial supervision and performance appraisal

      Our new Deputy Head of Healthcare Will:
      • Have a Clinical Registration, such as NMC,HCPC etc
      • Have knowledge of clinical governance
      • Have experience of QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework)
      • Ideally have experience in a managerial / leadership position
      • Any prison or secure environment would be a bonus!
