      Job summary

      We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacy professional to join our team as Deputy Service Lead - Aseptics and Radiopharmacy. This is a key leadership role supporting the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant Aseptic and Radiopharmacy services across the Trust.

      You will work closely with the Associate Director of Pharmacy - Cancer Services and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the effective operation, development, and governance of the Aseptic and Radiopharmacy units.

      About You:

      Essential:

      • Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or Biological Sciences (or equivalent).
      • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council or relevant professional body.
      • Significant experience in aseptic services, Radiopharmacy, or production units.
      • Strong knowledge of GMP, QA, QC, and quality risk management.
      • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.

      Desirable:

      • Management qualification
      • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance.
      • Experience in commercial aseptic services or Radiopharmacy licensing.

      Main duties of the job

      • Deputise for the Accountable Pharmacist and Lead Aseptic Services Pharmacist, assuming full managerial responsibility in their absence.
      • Act as an Authorised Pharmacist/Product Approver for cytotoxics, monoclonal antibodies, parenteral nutrition, and radiopharmaceuticals.
      • Lead on quality assurance (QA), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and quality control (QC) processes.
      • Support the development and implementation of training and revalidation programmes for aseptic staff.
      • Contribute to service development, commercial opportunities, and strategic planning.
      • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with MHRA, ARSAC, and Trust standards.
