Lead one direct report and one full-time CW in applying design principles to all aspects of category marketing and branding including Visual Positioning, VBLs, Master Designs & Design Guidelines to ensure high quality and consistency across all global brands within the remit of the role and to improve brand equity.
Lead all aspects of Design for Power Brand Centrum (top 3 brand for Haleon overall), as well as consult on locally owned Wellness brands such as Eno, Caltrate, and Emergen-C.
Apply design leadership skills to the creation and maintenance of Meaningful & Distinctive brands (assets), deploying best in class creative practices, including inclusive and circular design principles to achieve business impact.
Managing all aspects of the Design mix, Shopper, Digital, Product, Packaging, Expert, Innovation, to deliver against brand and category objectives whilst embedding Design best practice and a culture of Design Thinking and Design Linking.
Proactively increase role of Design function to be a strategic leader within the global team and with local teams.
Monitor Design consistency & quality globally across Centrum in 70+ markets via biannual comprehensive audits and routine checks across all consumer touchpoints
Collaborate effectively with the Supply Organization and R&D on Pack. & Product Development & innovation.
Bachelors of Arts in Design or similar
15+ years of experience
Commercial acumen developed from experience of being part of a multifunctional team
Design expertise including all aspects of Branding, Design & Innovation process, knowledge of design thinking and how this applies to the business, knowledge of global design culture, design communication, design organization and design structures in other industries, business and business processes understanding at strategic/tactical and operational level.
Management experience in FMCG environment
Experience in design disciplines including brand, structural packaging, POS, expert, advertising, digital
Experience with qualitative and quantitative market and design research
Experience with global design partners in global design projects
Experience of managing design budgets over categories and brands – Solid strategic thinking, commercial and marketing skills
MBA/Masters in Design Management
Understanding and experience in how design change can affect the brand business model (metrics and measurement)
Track record of managing a design talent team and developing excellent functional reputation internally and externally
Senior level design, marketing, development, innovation experience applied in business settings with demonstrated business success
Experience working directly with diverse and global cultures and team

The Design Director, Wellness will embed Design deeply into the Wellness Global team with a holistic view of Design across all consumer touchpoints. This individual is responsible for all Design for Global Power Brand of Centrum, leveraging all aspects of design at a strategic, tactical and operational level, working as a Design partner with marketing, ensuring functional excellence that delivers outstanding consumer experiences, and driving high Design quality and consistency at both the global level and in our local operating markets. The Design Director will also be part of a broader ‘design community of practice’ and will be expected to contribute to best practice sharing and capability building programs.
This role reports directly to the Global Head of Wellness and Centrum, with an indirect reporting line to the Design CoE Lead.
