      Job Overview

      We are looking for a talented Product Design Lead to join our growing Team of creative visionaries. You will have the opportunity to help define the vision and develop designs across all of our digital product experiences. You will be responsible for leading the design of digital features and experiences across our website, mobile apps, and, eventually our physical retail experiences. You will be strategically thinking about the user across our digital product touchpoints through elegant and delightful UX and UI. You provide mentorship to designers on the Team and will collaborate across multiple internal project teams, including design, engineering, product, marketing, and retail, as well as interact closely with Fisker customers to find beneficial insights and test your designs.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Lead and develop the visual and user experience direction for our digital product ecosystem.

      • Provide forward, innovative thinking about our branded digital experiences.

      • Find simple and elegant solutions for complex design problems.

      • Follow a creative, user-focused process for experience ideation

      • Stay current with the latest trends in automotive design as well as consumer electronics, product, fashion, architectural, and related design fields

      • Explore, concept, and develop entire design ecosystems, inclusive of user interfaces, connected data, and interaction models compatible across screens, devices, and physical locations

      • Craft and present design solutions to internal teams and key stakeholders, and be prepared to articulate, justify and defend design and interaction recommendations

      • Illustrate design ideas using mock-ups, storyboards, UX, and high-fidelity UI designs

      • Prototype solutions, digital products, and interfaces in ways that clearly illustrate how elements function, appear, move (motion), and rest across various screens and Fisker digital and physical touchpoints

      • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain in cross-functional teams to manage and implement the UX/UI vision

      • Help define Fisker’s digital brand presence and adhere to style standards

      • Stay current with the latest trends in automotive design as well as consumer electronics, product, fashion, architectural, and related design field

      Qualification

      • Design degree (or equivalent experience)

      • 8+ years of experience in digital product design

      • Strong user-focused design process

      • Demonstrable experience with storyboards, mood boards, flows

      • Proven ability to translate brand identity into digital experience designs.

      • Strong design process, experience designing systems and product features.

      • Demonstrable experience with information architecture, storyboards, flows, wireframes, and design specs

      • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite, etc.)

      • Experience with adaptable design that work across desktop, mobile, web and native applications (automotive UX, gaming, and connected device app design experience a plus)

      • Experience working low fidelity to high fidelity proving concepts through functional prototypes and other previsualization techniques using tools like Adobe Aftereffects, Principle, Invision etc.

      • 3D visualization experience with tools like Cinema4D is a plus.

      • AR/VR experience is a plus.

      • PASSION for design and knowledge of current automotive design trends and technology

      • A portfolio demonstrating your work, with examples of successful designs brought to life and your process.

      Additional Requirements

      • Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required.

      Expected Salary Range: $97,900.00 - $165,650.00 a year.

      Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

      Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

      The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
