As a Desktop Support III Technician, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support III Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach to providing IT assistance and troubleshooting services. As a Desktop Support III Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our organization's IT systems and providing top-notch support to our internal users.
1. Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical assistance to end-users via phone, email, remote tools, or in person, ensuring prompt resolution of hardware and software issues.
2. Problem Identification and Resolution: Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of IT-related problems, including hardware malfunctions, software glitches, network connectivity issues, and more. Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or appropriate teams when necessary.
3. User Training and Guidance: Assist users in understanding and effectively utilizing various software applications, operating systems, and hardware devices. Provide step-by-step instructions and guidance to enhance user knowledge and productivity.
4. Hardware and Software Setup: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications. Ensure proper functionality and compatibility across different devices and systems.
5. Remote Support: Utilize remote support tools to aid users located in different offices or remote locations. Walk users through troubleshooting steps and perform remote system configurations.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of user requests, technical issues, and solutions. Contribute to the knowledge base and help create user-friendly guides and tutorials.
What you will needEducation: Associate degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in IT support or a related role. Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues is essential.
Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, hardware components, and common software applications. Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
