      Who are we hiring? The Development Coordinator works across the development, digital, external relations, and finance teams to effectively implement timely and high-quality gift processing and donor relations for the organization. The Development Associate is responsible for donor assistance/inquiry phone lines and inbox, data entry and cleansing, and gift acknowledgments. What will you do? Act as the point of contact for the organization’s main donor phone lines, inboxes, and mail correspondence Coordinate donation entry and processing in donor management systems Generate and process gift acknowledgments, work with development department staff to customize donor acknowledgments, and steward donors in a timely and professional manner Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely reconciliation of gifts processed Assist with materials and reports to facilitate excellent cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors Demonstrate sensitivity to relationships with major donors, board members, and influential community leaders, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality Update constituent records within the database to reflect accurate information Work with the Senior Manager, Donor Relations and Collaborative Fundraising to maintain written standard operating procedures for all processes related to role functions Coordinate quarterly thank-a-thon for organization supporters Attend assigned donor events, assisting in event coordination General clerical office duties, including assisting with mailings, as needed Develop strong working relationships with staff in all areas of the organization Other duties as assigned What do you need to succeed? • 1 year of work experience • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines • Experienced in using online databases • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with team members • Experienced in customer service • A high level of computer literacy required, including familiarity with Salesforce or other relational database, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Products. • Ability to juggle competing projects, priorities, and deadlines. • Candidate must possess an ability to work well under pressure, synthesize information and communicate in a compelling and succinct manner.
