Job Description

- Work with JPM coverage and product teams to track potential development transactions through the pipeline
- Generate documentation and presentation materials to communicate the anticipated development impact of transactions both internally and externally
- Maintain internal reports including quarterly business reviews, governing board documents and other analytical reports
- Support investor calls and meetings, including the preparation of pitch materials and compilation of key information
- Research and monitor investors focused on emerging markets and map out the investor universe including institutional investors, impact investors and official development finance institutions
- Support the design and implementation of systems and processes required for achieving the JPM DFI’s objectives (including liaising with finance & business management, technology, legal, and compliance functions as necessary)
- Support the team in creating, writing and editing the DFI Annual Report
- Assist with the organization of events, trainings and seminars as needed
- Bachelor's degree or higher. Academic credentials focused on business administration, finance, economics, international relations, international development, and/or any other public policy related subjects or related areas are desirable
- A team player passionate about impact / ESG with a high level of motivation to learn about and work in emerging markets
- Excellent (English) written and oral communication skills; fluency in Spanish would be desirable
- Strong quantitative, analytical and computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel based modelling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment with ability to prioritize and multitask well under pressure
- Attention to detail, especially in ensuring precision in all final outputs
- Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with a degree of independence
- Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
Job Summary
The J.P. Morgan Development Finance Institution (JPM DFI) aims to expand J.P. Morgan’s sustainable development-oriented financing activities in emerging markets by: (i) applying its impact methodology to assess the anticipated impact of transactions; (ii) originating and structuring sustainable development finance transactions; and (iii) identifying sources of capital interested in financing opportunities with measurable development impact. By supporting the origination and distribution of financial products to institutional investors, acting as investors or lenders, who are interested in financing ESG and impact-focused transactions, the JPM DFI aims to build sustainable finance as a traded asset class.
As an Analyst in DFI, you will play a key role in assisting the team in meeting its objectives and will support the JPM DFI team with its business operations, transaction execution, investor engagement strategy, key performance indicators, pipeline management and strategy. The JPM DFI sits in the Corporate & Investment Bank.
