  DevOps Lead

Our work depends on a DevOps Lead joining our team to support the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program in Falls Church, VA.

  This is an IT Service Management contract in support of GENM-O’s mission is to enable information dominance from the tactical edge to the home station for the Army, DoD, National Command Authority, and international partners by acquiring, implementing, and sustaining strategic satellite and terrestrial communication systems, and by leveraging technologies to meet current and future requirements.

  AGUN is to design, procure, maintain, deploy, and transition a Global SDN solution in accordance with applicable Army policies and regulations. The AGUN-INC1 TO will provide a unified approach to ensure standardized deployments and configurations at multiple locations throughout the globe.

  To be successful in this position you need to be collaborative and willing to work within a team. While you will need to be a self-starter completing tasks on your own, working together is critical in this role. You will be interfacing with the client and senior staff. Therefore, you should be articulate in your communications because your opinion matters. You will need to explain technical intricacies in a way that is easily understood.

  
  DevOps Lead - Responsible for shaping the organization’s DevOps strategy and implementation. Coordinates the efforts of product development teams with that of operations teams to streamline the development process and build and evolve an automated, secure, and scalable continuous delivery pipeline with high-quality, innovative product releases to mission customers. Responsibilities include leading the design and integration of DevOps tools and technologies for deployment, monitoring, and operations of mission systems software products; working with application teams to help them adopt continuous build, inspection, testing, and deployment approaches; participating in all aspects of DevOps Engineering and promoting industry standard methodologies in DevOps Engineering; helping to configure and monitor DevOps performance; and ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance for mission customers in the Production environment. Ensure data backup, DR, and COOP requirements are considered early in the development lifecycle.

  The likely salary range for this position is $154,960 - $193,297. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
