What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct automated and manual accessibility audits of websites and mobile applications
- Develop detailed audit reports with prioritized findings and recommendations
- Present accessibility findings to various stakeholders including executives and designers
- Collaborate with designers and content strategists to apply accessibility best practices
- Mentor and teach others on conducting accessibility evaluations and improve organizational capacity
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in digital accessibility
- Experience conducting WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 evaluations for digital products
- Strong familiarity with WCAG standards and emerging accessibility best practices
- A bachelor's degree or compelling work experience in a related field
- Proven track record in developing remediation plans and roadmaps for accessibility improvements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification in CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) or equivalent
- Experience conducting usability tests with assistive technology users
- Teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience in accessibility
- Consulting experience managing accessibility projects
- Background in user experience (UX) design or collaboration with UX teams
