      Caterpillar’s Construction Industry Services Division (CISD) is hiring a Digital Experience Consultant who will be responsible for driving value for our Construction Industry (CI) managed account customers through eCommerce solutions with the ultimate goal of growing Cat Integrated Procurement (IP) technology sales for the division.

      What You’ll Do (Essential Functions)

      This position is split into two main areas of focus: data analytics and business development. As a Digital Experience Consultant, you’ll analyze sales data, use insights to define customer strategies, create execution plans, and then interface with dealers and customers to increase IP sales.

      • Analyze global sales data for dealers and customers to identify where opportunity exists for Cat IP sales

      • Work with internal Account Managers, Sales Representatives, Digital and Dealer capability experts to develop and execute sales plans for customers around the globe

      • Manage multiple projects at a time per customer and per territory/region

      • Initiate and develop good relationships with key Caterpillar division offices throughout the globe

      • Develop Cat IP solutions for critical customers both at the HQ and jobsite level in order to clearly articulate the value of Cat IP

      • Ensure sales activities are consistent and in compliance with Caterpillar’s policies and strategies and all applicable reporting and regulations

      • Lead and participate in continuous improvement objectives for the team/department


      How You’ll Be Successful (Core Skills)

      • Customer Focus to display understanding of customer needs - both articulated and unarticulated, understanding of current industry trends to drive prioritized list of enhancements to our tools to deliver superior customer satisfaction through our eCommerce platforms.

      • Effective Communications to deliver quality presentations directly to customers and dealers as well as initiate the integration process.

      • Influencing partners within CISD as well as Cat Digital and DSDs to drive alignment on both strategic initiatives as well as efficient implementation of necessary enhancements. Further, to help customers understand the benefits that our eCommerce platforms such as Cat Integrated Procurement can bring do their daily operations.

      • Relationship Management to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with customers, dealers, and internal business partners.

      • Strategic Thinking to ideate eCommerce strategy and execute go-to-market plans in alignment with customer, dealer, and Caterpillar enterprise objectives.

      Top Candidates Will Also Have

      • Strong presentation and training skills

      • Proficiency in data analysis

      • Experience implementing process improvements & in project management (owning projects from start to finish)

      • Self-starter and team player

      • Industry experience in eCommerce, digital, marketing, sales

      • eCommerce solutions/platform experience (data analysis and/or sales)

      • Prior dealer facing experience

      • Bachelor’s degree

      Additional Details

      • Work locations: Cary, NC; Peoria or Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX

      • Caterpillar requires 5 days per week in office

      Summary Pay Range:

      $144,960.00 - $217,320.00

      Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
