      Overview

      Leads the Take CARE employee wellbeing program under the overarching CM Well brand. Establishes the annual and multi-year strategy for employee wellbeing based on an analysis of data from key vendors. Defines priorities and events to help close gap or team member areas of need. Directs and manages the planning, implementation, administration and communication of new and existing programs to promote employee's overall health and wellbeing (e.g., recognition, health screenings, physical fitness, events and classes, health coaching, mindfulness, nutrition and financial wellbeing). Collaborates with the Center for Wellbeing department on strategy, initiatives, programming and communication. Ensures all programs align with Children's Mercy's short-term and long-term business goals, available budget and objectives. Manages all aspects of the vendor relationships associated with the wellbeing and recognition programs (vendor management, RFPs, implementation). Manages communication program designed to promote employee wellbeing engagement and participation. Collects and analyzes data to provide updates on program effectiveness and participation for executive leadership. Promotes and integrates employee health plan wellbeing and disease management initiatives within the Take CARE employee wellbeing program.

      Responsibilities

      • Strategic Leadership: In partnership with executive leadership, define employee wellbeing organizational goals and strategic plans. Analyzes vendor data to determine employee wellbeing current state. Builds annual and multi-year strategies and goals to close gaps.
      • Program Leadership / Project Management: Based on priorities and above listed data, defines and oversee the execution of programs to help close the gap or address team member areas of need. Evaluates current and future employee wellbeing and recognition activities for their effectiveness, feasibility and acceptability.
      • Employee Engagement: promotes employee engagement in and satisfaction with CMs recognition program and the employee wellbeing and disease management initiatives.
      • Management: people, vendor and budget management

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor's Degree Corporate Wellbeing, Health promotion, exercise science, or related field and 7 or more years experience Career level experience in developing business plans for, marketing and managing corporate-based programs is necessary for this position. Demonstrated knowledge regarding and passion for wellbeing. Proven experience in the areas of data collection, data analysis and outcomes reporting in regard to health risk status within a population is required. Experience in managing people, vendors and budgets.
      • Other (Preferred) Experience in leading corporate wellbeing programs
      • CPR and Basic First Aid Preferred
      • Personal training certification (ACSM, ACE, NSCA, NASM, etc) Preferred
      • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) Preferred

      Starting Pay

      Our pay ranges are market competitive. Your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

      Remote Work/Work from Home

      This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
