      Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

      In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA), we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability.       The Electronic Attack Solutions (EAS) Coalition Electronic Attack Chief Engineer will be the primary engineering leader for a family of products focusing on program execution, new business growth, product leverage, product evolution, and continuous improvement. The CE provides engineering leadership for the product line during all lifecycle phases. The successful candidate reports to the EAS Product Line Engineering Lead.

      Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Partner with the Product Line Director and staff to develop and deliver products and systems that meet our customer needs.
      • Partner and collaborate across all the disciplines, functions, and business areas to effectively support engineering across the enterprise.
      • Meet cost, schedule and technical performance for Product Line projects through their life cycle.
      • Ensure preparation and approval of competitive engineering bids that are executable, meet established price-to-win targets, and grow the business.
      • Serve as overall customer (internal / external) engineering point of contact for the product line.
      • In collaboration with the Product Line leadership team, prepare and communicate Product and Technology Roadmaps that sustain and grow the business.
      • Identify and support the development of critical skills and resources.
      • Develop and maintain measures related to engineering performance.
      • Develop and lead continuous improvement activities and ensure adoption within the organization.
      • Ensure proper application of process based on the size and complexity of the project.
      • Establish goals, performance standards, budgets and staffing plans.
      • Improve processes and skills that support programs.
      As a leader, the CE must also:
      • Work across organizational boundaries to solve problems and secure resources.
      • Recruit, train, develop and retain Program Engineering Managers (PEMs) to meet business needs.

      Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience

      Required Skills and Education

      • Requires qualified candidates to hold a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
      • At least 10 years direct experience as a Subject Matter Expert.
      • Demonstrated experience as a technical leader
      • Ability to form a vision and implement action plans to achieve that vision
      • Proven ability to share and transfer technology across organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and the business

      Preferred Skills and Education

      • MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline Requirements development and derivation from top-level needs down to sub-system needs Authoring white papers/RFIs for US Gov't customers
      • MBSE experience with MagicDraw
      • SCI Eligible
