      Overview

      As a Direct Mail Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of the annual direct mail marketing campaigns. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Your role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

      Responsibilities

    • Project Planning and Coordination:
      • Develop project plans outlining objectives, timelines, budget, and resource allocation.
      • Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, creative, production, and analytics, to define project requirements and deliverables.
      • Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact project success.
    • Campaign Execution:
      • Oversee the end-to-end execution of direct mail campaigns, ensuring all aspects align with strategic objectives and brand guidelines.
      • Conduct general proof reviews to ensure that all standards are met.
      • Manage the creative development process, from initial concept to final production, including copywriting, design, and print production.
      • Collaborate with external vendors, such as printers and mailing houses, to ensure timely delivery and quality control.
    • Data Management and Analysis:
      • Work closely with data analysts to segment target audiences and personalize direct mail content for maximum effectiveness.
      • Monitor campaign performance metrics, such as response rates, conversion rates, and ROI, and provide actionable insights for optimization.
      • Utilize A/B testing and other methodologies to continuously improve campaign performance.
    • Budget and Resource Management:
      • Track project expenses and manage budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
      • Allocate resources effectively, balancing workload and priorities across multiple projects.
      • Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
    • Stakeholder Communication:
      • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and key deliverables.
      • Provide monthly forecasts and spending reports.
      • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and ensure alignment among team members and stakeholders.
      • Address any concerns or issues promptly and proactively seek solutions to meet project objectives.

      Qualifications

        • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field (preferred).
        • Proven experience (5 years) in project management, preferably within direct mail or marketing-related fields.
        • Strong understanding of direct mail best practices, including audience segmentation, creative development, and response tracking.
        • Proven understanding of direct mail production, offset and digital printing, lettershop and imaging technology, data processing and postal requirements.
        • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
        • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
        • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello.
        • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights to drive campaign optimization.
        • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
