We are seeking a dynamic Director of Account Services who will oversee revenue growth, client retention and the strategic management of inforce customers while building and cultivating meaningful relationships with brokers and clients.       This leader will work and travel primarily within the Mid-Atlantic states and must live in or near PA, MD, DE, WV and DC.

      Qualifications

      • Proven Leadership & Experience: A minimum of 12+ years in the healthcare or employee benefits industry with at least 3 years in a people manager role. You're a natural leader who can inspire and energize your team.
      • Sales/ Account Management Expertise: 5+ years in the employee benefits/healthcare industry with a track record of sales success, building relationships, and negotiating deals with top-level clients and brokers.
      • Client-Centric Mindset: You understand the importance of client relationships and know how to maintain and grow those relationships to ensure long-term success.
      • Strategic Vision & Strong Problem-Solving Skills: You’re not just a manager – you’re a visionary who can think strategically and identify opportunities for growth. You excel at solving complex problems and guiding your team to success.
      • License Required: You must have a valid State life and producer license or be willing to obtain one within 90 days of employment. Continuing education will keep you sharp and up-to-date in the industry.
      • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time throughout the territory.

      Base Pay Information

      The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
      Pay Grade 24. $122,400 - $265,100

      Responsibilities

      • Drive Revenue Growth & Client Retention: Lead and execute a forward-thinking service plan in partnership with sales management to maximize revenue and protect your client base.
      • Lead & Inspire a High-Performing Team: Coach, mentor, and develop a team of account managers, driving them to achieve ambitious sales targets and exceed performance goals.
      • Foster Strong Relationships: Build and maintain high-value relationships with key brokers and client groups, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
      • Identify & Implement Best Practices: Continuously seek out ways to remove obstacles, enhance performance, and help your team hit their targets by sharing proven strategies and solutions.
      • Collaborate & Acquire New Business: Work closely with Sales Directors to support the acquisition and smooth integration of new business opportunities into your portfolio.
      • Take Control of Budget & Reporting: Own the annual department budget, monitor results, and take swift action to ensure targets are hit. Use Salesforce to ensure accurate, up-to-date data for smarter decision-making.
