Responsibilities:
- Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies.
- Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance and guide professional development.
- Approve actions on human resources matters, including salary administration.
- Maintain knowledge of all employer services for cross-sell opportunities.
- Continuously monitor Customer Account Plans and business targets.
- Provide direction and resources for Business Development staff members.
- Utilize industry network to assist junior sales staff and identify potential business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Senior Management and functional managers for proposal defense meetings.
- Actively participate in proposal preparation and defense meetings.
- Represent Sales Team to Senior Management for key business updates.
- Research and identify target markets, build relationships, and perform strategic analysis.
- Ensure sales team members are trained to meet job objectives.
Minimum education and experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or scientific discipline required.
- 10+ years relevant industry experience, including 3 years of management responsibility.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Proven track record with mid-level and high-level contacts.
- Excellent Business/Industry awareness and analytical skills.
- Solid understanding of commercialization and drug discovery/development.
- Ability to identify and develop sales leads.
- Ability to influence others internally and externally.
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities.
- Ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain demanding timelines.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Excellent skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
