      The next great shift in consumer behavior driven by technological disruption is underway, in the F&B industry.
      Food & beverage has been slow to adopt eCommerce-first models, favoring traditional brick & mortar methods.

      • However, rapid changes are occurring as new technologies transform consumer engagement, including digital marketing and online grocery platforms.The Food Marketing Institute forecasts that by 2024, 70% of U.S. consumers will shop online for groceries, spending approximately $100 billion annually.
      • PepsiCo, with iconic brands like Frito-Lay, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Quaker, and Tropicana, is expanding its Global eCommerce Team to capitalize on this trend.
      • eComm DTX is seeking top talent in data & analytics, software development, machine learning optimization, and next-generation supply chain expertise.
      • With operations spanning over 200 countries and involving a diverse value chain, from farmers to retailers, the challenges are substantial. Despite its size, PepsiCo's Global eCommerce Team maintains an entrepreneurial, startup-like culture, attracting individuals from various backgrounds.
      • Their goal is to revolutionize the industry and establish themselves as the leading food & beverage eCommerce business. Over the past year, the team has made significant strides in building a talented data engineering team and developing a scalable data platform on AWS.
      • They've implemented the data vault methodology for auditability and have basic data validation and monitoring systems in place. However, there's still room for improvement, particularly in developing data pipelines for machine learning, analytics, and business applications.
      • PepsiCo is now looking for an experienced technologist and engineering leader to enhance performance, quality, and consistency of the eComm

      This role is the overall DTX leaders across the 3 hubs 1) hub leaders( L11/L10 reporting into this role 2) the LG1 DTX leader would manage and influence the DTX leadership ( LG4 & LG5 stakeholders 3) Drive the overall DTX / GBS agenda across hubs

      Responsibilities

      Strategic Direction & Global Leadership:

      • Scope: Drive the DTX agenda across 3 hubs (KBS, MBS, HBS) and manage the E2E DTX GBS eCommerce scope globally. Oversee DTX GBS Hub leads across various locations.
      • Hub Management: Oversee these hubs, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring consistent delivery standards & collaboration.
      • Global Agile Pods: Manage dispersed agile teams for project delivery and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
      • Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the GBS eComm Tower Lead with a dotted line reporting to the SVP DTX ( Rohit Mahindru)

      People Management & Talent Development:

      • People Leadership: Manage hiring, promotions, and talent diversity.
      • Global Talent Development: Lead talent development initiatives and drive DTX career development & culture.
      • DTX Hub Talent Strategy: Develop forward-looking Hub & DTX Talent Strategies,(rotations & structures).

      HR Processes: Drive HR processes for recruitment, onboarding, career growth, stalent retention across Poland, Spain, India, and Mexico


      Qualifications

      Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:

      • Stakeholder Management: Lead relationships with US-based leaders in data engineering, platform, data science, ML Ops, and data Ops.
      • Total DTX GBS Oversight: Provide total oversight of DTX GBS work across MBS, HBS, and KBS.
      • International Enablement: Assist with hiring MBS/HBS Country Leads in building DTX culture and leveraging existing GBS knowledge.
      • Product Scope: Oversee DTX/GBS scope across products (DENT, SCHIP, PepDirect, MBT & DEINT) and ensure E2E eComm scope connection, including international rollout
      • eComm DTX Leadership across capbiloties & towers : Dotted line reporting to Rohit ( SVP – DTX) and facilitate cross-tower interactions.
      • Governance: Drive SLAs with DTX leadership through monthly governance meetings.

      • 15+ years experience leading engineering teams, with 10+ years hiring and managing employees
      • Proven experience a people leadership role overseeing data and technology teams.
      • Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
      • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
      • Strong people leadership skills and experience managing large, global teams.
      • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a focus on US-based stakeholders
      • Fluent with Agile processes and tools such as Jira or Pivotal Tracker; must have experience running Agile teams, continuous integration, automated testing, and test driven development
      • Excellent skills at project estimation, understanding team velocity / dev capacity, progress tracking with burndown charts
      • Appreciation of following technologies:
        • Python, Elixir or other similar programming languages
        • Airflow, Luigi, or similar orchestration platforms
        • Relational databases – Postgres, MySQL, or similar

        Automated build process and tools . data pipelines / ETLs or building large scale applications

        • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, and across various teams; must have excellent communications skills with engineers as well as business and finance team members
        • Appreciation of technology culture & technology teams.
        • Self starter; bias for action and for quick iteration on ideas / concepts;
        • Excellent interpersonal skills & Stakeholder management/

        Team player; excellent listening skills; welcoming of ideas and new ways of looking at things; able to lead brainstorming sessions and elicit input from team members – including those who may not be the loudest voice in the room
