      The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

      Brief Department Description

      Raytheon Technologies (RTX) is seeking a Global Facility Operations Director to join the Enterprise Real Estate Services (ERS) team. This position will report to the Senior Director of Global Facilities and be part of the ERS Facilities COE. The role will be accountable for providing facility COE services and support across all regions of the globe in direct support of regional service delivery teams.

      The ideal candidate will possess the following demonstrated skills and experience: Strong business acumen, facilities management, facility operations, working knowledge of program execution, customer focus, supplier relationship management and contract management, project management, infrastructure systems operations and maintenance, sustainability program implementation, equipment and facility commissioning, organization and personnel development, operating and capital budget development and management, quality and process improvement.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • The Director of facilities operations leads a global team of 4-8 professionals focused on driving standardization, excellence, and providing specialty services across the globe as part of the broader Facilities Management organization.
      • The group will be made up of 4-8 unique centers of excellence within the facilities management end to end process. These centers include but are not limited to energy and sustainability, facilities engineering & reliability, move add change, meetings & events, call center operations, CMMS & asset management technology, capital planning and administration, and strategic vendor management.
      • Support facility service execution across the globe by providing tools, systems, playbooks, and expertise to the regional delivery team leverage CORE methods.
      • Maintain and continuously improve the efficiency of facility operations across the regions, with a focus on standardization and exceptional customer experience, including people, process, and systems.
      • Identify innovative opportunities to enhance facilities operation’s quality, decrease cost, reduce time to market and increase customer satisfaction.
      • Manage financial performance of the facilities Ops COE including the establishment of annual and multi-year operating budgets, forecasts, and projections.
      • Ensure compliance and lead facilities energy & sustainability goals such as becoming carbon neutral, reducing waste, and sustainability; this also includes developing and integrating ESG practices in the workplace.
      • Drive consistent process improvement and standardization, using process improvement techniques and tools such as: TQM, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, CORE(RTX) to drive process improvement across the region for all facilities services.
      • Work cross-functionally with relevant ERS COE’s, BRM’s, ES Functions (DT, Security, HR) and Business Functions (Finance, EHSS, Security, Logistics).
      • Partner with EHSS to administer environmental and safety programs and maintain incident reporting system.
      • International travel required.

      Required Qualifications

      • 10 or more years of experience gained in a leadership role in a global capacity as a facilities director, facilities COE leader, or equivalent.
      • Strong overall facilities management experience including managing an Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) program, Facility Operations for both office and industrial, Project Management, and Asset Management programs.
      • Possess excellent management and leadership skills experience and the ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.
      • Must be able to communicate concepts, procedures, and systems needed clearly to all levels of the organization.
      • 10+ years’ experience in financial management including the ability to develop and execute annual operating and capital plans.
      • Strong analytical skills to include the ability to synthesize large quantities of data
      • Track record of identifying opportunities for process improvement, developing, and implementing solutions that result in increased efficiency, lowered cost or reduced time to process.
      • Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse work group in a results-oriented environment utilizing regional teams and vendor partners.
      • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and gain stakeholder alignment.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, CMMS and ERP based systems.

      Preferred Qualifications-

      • Outstanding interpersonal skills, to include strong oral and written communication and the ability to interact with senior levels of management.
      • Experience and success working with an outsourced service provider and managing third party vendors.
      • Strong relationship management skills.
      • Experience leading cross-business, cross-functional teams and external partners.
      • Strong understanding of Program and Project management, including risk, schedule and budget management.
      • Ability to manage multiple competing initiatives.
      • Experience in development and delivery of presentations to various levels of management.

      Experience and Education

      • This role typically requires: A bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and at least 12 years of relevant experience

      • This position may be Hybrid based near an RTX hub (Des Moines IA, Dallas Tx, Tucson AZ, Hartford CT ) or Remote based in the CONUS

      The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
