Strategic Leadership: Design and implement key changes to the global supply chain that will improve working capital turns while enhancing Beckman Coulter’s customer experience
Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization: Develop and implement a global inventory strategy to optimize inventory across the supply chain, targeting the manufacturing and distribution sites, as well as finished goods inventory in the network.
Inventory Analytics & Reporting: Develop analytics and data mining capabilities to assist our leaders and teams in developing key initiatives to improve inventory turns for both hardware and consumable products. This includes influencing large-scale global and regional teams to collect, analyze, consolidate, and report key data & partnering with operations and finance leaders to develop the annual operating plan, and forecasts for inventory.
Lean & DBS Deployment: Drive DBS, adoption of DMS and Lean programs to be shared across the sites that result in Inventory Optimization
Governance: Own Daily Management structure and cadence designed to promote accountability and performance at both the site and regional level. Report, present, and communicate business challenges, status updates, and progress utilizing problem-solving tools to implement countermeasures and sustain business results.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive Collaboration with various teams, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance, and IT, to align inventory optimization strategies with broader organizational goals.
Team Leadership: Build & manage a high-performing team of inventory analysts, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Direct project leads in different sites/functions in the development of project plans, financial plans, milestones, and targets to build relationships, secure support and resources for projects, and provide needed support for critical inventory initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in supply chain or operations, with 14+ years’ work experience or Master’s degree with 12+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Operations or materials management in a complex, global manufacturing organization
Related experience includes 4+ years managing people.
Demonstrated experience with lean materials management practices, such as kanban and lean conversion.
Ability to travel globally 50% of the time
APICS certification preferred: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM); or other related certifications (e.g., CFPIM, CIRM, SCOR-P, C.P.M., CSM or CPSM).
Experience with budgeting and financial planning models in a company of comparable or larger size and complexity

The Director, Global Inventory Management for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for driving Beckman Coulter Diagnostic’s inventory performance, as well as providing leadership and oversight of the global inventory function and continuous improvement programs. The primary charter of the position will be to lead a team designed to work cross-functionally to develop and implement inventory improvement initiatives in a highly dynamic, global manufacturing/distribution network. The leader will work collaboratively across the organization to develop programs anchored against our Danaher Material System (DMS) toolkit that is part of our overarching Danaher Business System (DBS). The role is accountable for driving and sustaining inventory turn improvements and developing a continuous improvement roadmap to deliver results in line with our annual working capital turn improvement commitments. In addition, the successful candidate will establish and lead the overall inventory governance and ensure the global rollout of standardized processes, tools, and KPI’s to maximize inventory performance while ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.
This position is part of the Global Supply Chain, and its primary location is in Chaska, Minnesota and will be hybrid and/or fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Materials Management Strategy and Process standardization teams and report to the Senior Director of materials Planning and Procurement. You will be responsible for improving Beckman Coulter’s working capital turns and ensuring the continuous improvement of timely, consistent, and quality deliveries to customers globally. This role will need to collaborate with senior commercial and business leaders while working across both a direct and matrixed operations organization to execute inventory reduction programs using DBS tools and methodologies. As part of the Global Supply Chain leadership team, it is important this role; (1) Understands macroeconomic global business conditions, risk mitigation, regulatory and compliance trends (2) Works with business leaders to establish, manage and report on key business and operational metrics/dashboards (3) analyzes and summarizes the performance of the Beckman Coulter’s supply chain operations to provide actionable insights and recommendations to ensure optimum performance.

The salary range for this role is 160-195K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
