Global Growth Strategy: partner with VPs and SVP to identify opportunities for short- and long-term growth for NBCU’s international expansion efforts across geographies, sectors, and partnerships; build comprehensive business plans to support
Digital Strategic Initiatives: develop strategies and implement project plans to monetize our global digital inventory in areas such as programmatic & streaming.
Internal & External Analytics & Competitive Intelligence: oversee team and guide 1) competitive and external marketplace intelligence efforts and 2) analyses of internal revenue and operational metrics. Leverage outputs to inform overall GTM and sales positioning; feed into long-term strategy and develop recommendations to present to Ad Sales leadership
Product Strategy: partner cross-functionally to design optimal product strategy for international marketplace leveraging internal and external assets; identify internal capabilities, systems and tools required to execute on growth strategies and drive business efficiencies; design e2e execution plans and roadmapping to deliver products
Annual Budget/Long-Range Planning: partner with Finance & Sales with development of sales and product targets by region/team and execution plans to deliver; build out cost estimates for product and resource requirements
Sales Partnership: (1) Partner with sales leaders and work cross-functionally to coordinate and execute all Ad Sales growth efforts across NBCU Global across multiple teams and time zones; (2) collaborate on prospecting opportunities via analytics/market/sales feedback; (3) design optimal strategy for driving international revenue across NBCU’s key agency partners and clients (4) Independently structure problems, scope analyses and iterate workstreams to final product (5) Manage development of Sr. Analyst
Global Liaison: act as liaison between International counterparts across NBCU brands and internal Global partners to ensure alignment and collaboration
Cross Functional Execution: partner with VPs to own and drive implementation of international growth strategies across NBCU Global and its internal and external partners
Executive Communications: partner with SVP to own and manage updates to Ad Sales leadership, Corporate stakeholders and internal/external partners on core cross-functional workstreams, growth opportunities and risks
- Must possess a passion for media and strong intellectual curiosity
- A minimum of 10 years previous relevant work experience; this could include professional services (e.g., consulting, investment banking) or media experience at a large network/publisher/agency
- Experience in global media landscape
- Proven quantitative analytical abilities, including Excel modeling skills
- Strong PowerPoint skills and proven proficiency summarizing information/analyses into coherent and concise slides
- Strong execution, project management and collaboration skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; the ability to present results of complex analyses clearly; strong executive presence
- Excellent organizational, time and people management skills and the ability to work in groups and independently
- Exceptional relationship management skills
- BA/BS required (MBA preferred)
- Previous experience in advertising sales or at a media company; Global media experience desired
- Ideal candidate is a proactive, entrepreneurial individual who possesses the ability to take initiative and perform analysis and other tasks with minimal supervision, including the ability to deal with competing priorities effectively, and work efficiently in a high-paced, results-oriented environment
- Passion for diving into complex concepts, defining value propositions and championing the voice of sales
- Comfortable working in the ‘undefined’ and shaping definition of opportunity
- Ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of the organization

Job Description
The Business Operations & Strategy group is looking for exceptional candidates for the position of Director, Global Ad Sales Strategy. This role will be focused on scaling our global media business by working with sales, operations, research, technology and other stakeholder groups across both NBCU and its partners to drive advertiser success around the world. A passionate, well-organized and highly-effective individual is sought to join our team.
You will be joining a blue chip team with significant media experience in addition to varied professional services backgrounds. The NBCU Ad Sales Strategy team is responsible for driving long-term growth opportunities for the wider sales organization. Acting as strategic consultants, this dynamic team supports Ad Sales and corporate stakeholders across a wide range of initiatives including sales optimization, go-to-market strategies, budgeting and planning analyses, and market insights.
The Role: The Director, Global Ad Sales Strategy will be responsible for creating high-level strategies to drive international growth via cross-portfolio, cross-platform sales and partnerships. This person will also be expected to design and steward the execution of these strategies across the company and/or partners. This role will be expected to work with colleagues across multiple functions, both inside and outside Ad Sales as well as across our Comcast sister companies and Global Partners. We’re looking for a dynamic person to bring innovative thinking, future vision and strong execution skills to help grow our business.
