      Reporting to the Executive Director, Acute Health Services, Eastern Zone; the Director Integrated Health, in collaboration with Site Medical Leads is responsible for operational planning, management and leadership of acute care services to ensure care is integrated and reflects best practice evidenced based standards. This includes ensuring that the services and programs meet clinical, teaching (and if applicable research standards), within the established standards of care criterion. Working in a co-leadership model, the Director has shared accountability in setting priorities and implementing strategies that support a family centered care environment, across a continuum of care. The Director working with physician leads ensure that programs and services are quality focused, with measurable outcomes, and reviewed regularly, using a family centered care approach. The Site Lead will provide day to day leadership for the acute care staff and services. The incumbent will assist the Executive Director and Eastern Zone Program Directors in supporting front line managers.

      Qualifications

      Bachelor's Degree in a Health Related Discipline
      • Eligible for registration in a health care discipline in Nova Scotia
      • Master’s degree in Health Administration or equivalent
      • 5 years' of relevant senior leadership experience with progressive accountabilities for supply chain management, financial, strategic and people management
      • CHE Designation an asset
      • Experience working in matrix model health care management services
      • Demonstrated skills in leadership, decision making negotiating, communication, conceptualization & evaluation
      • Specific experience with strategic and operational planning and implementation and related management functions
      • Demonstrated ability to be an effective change agent using interpersonal, communication and team building skills
      • Proven relationship and team building skills (including external partners)
      • Demonstrated organizational and priority setting skills
      • Critical thinking and Analytical Skills
      • Continuous Quality Improvement and Risk Management skills
      • Motivated, self-starter
      • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred

      Hours of Work

      Permanent, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly

      Compensation and Benefits

      $55.019 - $73.104 Hourly
