      Position Overview:
      The Director of eCommerce will lead EOS Hospitality's digital initiatives, focusing on enhancing search engine optimization (SEO), user experience (UX), and digital merchandising to drive online visibility, engagement, and direct bookings. This role requires close collaboration with Marketing, Revenue Management, and Sales teams to develop and implement strategies aimed at maximizing online revenue and optimizing distribution channels. Serving as the eCommerce subject matter expert (SME) for field operations, the Director will align eCommerce strategies with overall business objectives to elevate the company's digital presence and performance. This is a remote position - with the ideal candidate preferably residing on the east coast.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Website Development and Management:
        • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of company websites, ensuring optimal performance and mobile responsiveness.
        • Ensure website content is current, accurate, and aligns with brand standards through standardized audit processes.
        • Own day-to-day relationships and projects with external vendors related to web development and analytics to ensure quality deliverables and cost-effectiveness.
        • Lead the migration of all property websites to a unified WordPress platform, ensuring consistency in design, functionality, and user experience across the portfolio.
        • Develop and manage a comprehensive migration plan, including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments, and contingency strategies to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations.
        • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Marketing, IT, Revenue Management, and external vendors, to align objectives, streamline workflows, and address technical or content-related challenges during the migration process.
        • Ensure data integrity and SEO preservation by implementing proper 301 redirects, preserving URL structures, and ensuring meta data and content are accurately transferred.
        • Optimize site performance post-migration by conducting thorough testing to assess site speed, responsiveness, and functionality, implementing necessary optimizations to enhance user experience and engagement.
        • Train and support property teams by providing training sessions and resources on the new platform's features and best practices, ensuring effective management and updates of their respective sites.
        • Monitor and report on migration progress by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of the migration, providing regular updates to stakeholders, and making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
      • Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
        • Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and increase website traffic.
        • Conduct keyword research, optimize on-page and off-page elements, and monitor SEO performance metrics.
        • Stay updated with search engine algorithms and adjust strategies to maintain competitiveness.

      • User Experience (UX) Optimization:
        • Analyze user behavior and feedback to enhance site usability, engagement, and conversion rates.
        • Collaborate with design and development teams to implement intuitive navigation, responsive design, and compelling content.
        • Conduct A/B testing and usability studies to inform design decisions.

      • Website Merchandising:
        • Develop and execute site merchandising strategies to enhance the online shopping experience and drive conversion rates.
        • Manage product presentation on the website, including categorization, sorting, and visual merchandising, to ensure a cohesive and engaging user journey.
        • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align promotional activities with merchandising efforts.
        • Utilize analytics to monitor performance, customer behavior, and sales trends, making data-driven decisions to optimize merchandising strategies.

      • Tracking and Analytics:
        • Implement and manage web analytics tools to monitor site performance, user engagement, and conversion metrics.
        • Provide regular reports and insights to inform strategic decisions.

      • Collaboration with Revenue Management & Distribution:
        • Align eCommerce strategies with pricing and inventory management to ensure digital channels reflect real-time availability and are competitively merchandised.
        • Identify, evaluate, and test new opportunities to drive ancillary revenues through merchandising or technology adoption.

      • Team Leadership:
        • Lead and grow a team of digital professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability.
        • Develop and manage eCommerce budget recommendations, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet strategic goals.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Design or a related field.
      • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
      • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful SEO, UX, and website merchandising strategies that drive revenue growth.
      • Strong understanding of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), SEO best practices, and digital marketing strategies.
      • Experience collaborating with Revenue Management and Distribution teams to align digital strategies with pricing, inventory, and distribution objectives.
      • Familiarity with hospitality distribution channels and technologies.
      • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
      • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
      • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
      • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in eCommerce, SEO, UX, and digital marketing.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in the hospitality industry, with an understanding of its unique digital marketing and eCommerce challenges.
      • Certification in digital marketing, SEO, analytics, or related areas.

      Annual Salary for this position is between $120,000 and $155,000 annually.
