- Strategic Partner to VP of Operations North America and supports financial analysis of major customer quotes and capital expenditure for consistency with Strategic goals.
- Lead North America in preparing operational budgets and forecasts and in analyzing results throughout the year.
- Drives the FP&A function for North America, and serves as a key input into the financial planning process to drive accuracy and clarity relative to key performance indicators.
- Key contributor to management reviews – management presentation, financial reporting, working capital, cash management, and comparison to budget/forecast.
- Identifies and leads North American cost initiatives (CI) to improve processes and profitability.
- Supports achievement of KPIs through review of expenses and ensuring positive NPV on capital projects.
- Identifies skill gaps and drives training for regional and plant finance and accounting team.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis as required to support business QAD EE implementation and other accounting business solutions.
- Must possess 15+ years of relevant experience in finance operations functions with mix of manufacturing experience preferably in the automotive industry.
- Prior experience as Cost Accounting, Plant Controller, FP&A and Regional Controller roll required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.

We are seeking an Director of Finance Operations for our Auburn Hills, Michigan Corporate Office.
Position Summary:
Director of Finance Operations is responsible for leading the Finance Operations for North America. Role supports a division of a global manufacturer leading North America’s $1.2B business with 13 manufacturing plants and over 5,000 employees. Report directly to the Business Unit CFIO and business partner to the VP of Operations North America. Director of Finance Operations expected to drive efficiency and improvement into all aspects of the function - optimizing processes, streamlining reporting, ensuring data integrity, identifying financial risks and opportunities, performing ad hoc analysis, and providing guidance and recommendations to senior leadership on critical issues. This role will lead the Regional Controllers and FP&A personnel. In addition, will work cross-functionally with key management throughout the organization to provide financial discipline and support to optimize the overall performance and profitability of the Company.We are looking for someone with a strong business acumen to come in and be a strategic business partner to the CFIO and help drive value through the organization. This division’s customers are automotive, building and construction, heavy truck, HVAC/Industrial Components, and recreation vehicles.
