- Coordinate and administer an adequate plan for the control of center financial operations. Such a plan includes expense budgets, cash control, cost standards and savings opportunities, accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, collections, and other related tasks.
- In collaboration with Center Director, develop and recommend budget.
- Authorize expenditures in accordance with budget. Approve budget and expenses of subordinates.
- Assure protection of assets of the business through internal control and internal auditing.
- Compare performance with operating plans and standards.
- Provide reports and interpret the results of operations to all levels of management.
- Oversee contract management and procedures for such.
- Provide other Center areas with related information required to carry out their assigned responsibilities.
- Monitor inventory levels and advise management regarding variances in budget.
- Forecast short range and long-range cash requirements and obligations, as a basis for maintaining adequate funds.
- Oversee accounting principles to a computerized Oracle accounting system.
- Supervise and train Finance area personnel in the performance of standard and routine accounting, cash control, and special assignments.
- Direct and assist in performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions.
- Assure that effective communications are maintained within areas of responsibility.
- Keep abreast of current trends and practices in field of expertise.
- Assume duties of HIPAA Privacy Officer.
- Ensure optimum performance of the function. Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, and maintain best practices. Adhere to Glenholme standards and Code of Character.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required. Master degree in same areas preferred.
