      Job Purpose

      The Director of Global Sustainability will lead and drive the development and implementation of best practices for Kraft Heinz Company. This role will own sustainability initiatives and build our sustainability strategy.

      Essential Functions & Responsibilities

      Define KHC’s global sustainability agenda in collaboration with zone and function teams 10%

      • Work collaboratively with zone and function teams to refine our sustainability goals and move from ambition to clear action plan to deliver global and zone targets.
      • Map out specific initiatives with top suppliers and partners; organizing the initiatives, timing, deliverables, cost, impact, etc.

      Evolve and deliver KHC’s global sustainability strategy, annual operating plan and objectives 50%

      • Create business cases where relevant to secure investment for sustainability initiatives, including CAPEX, COGS or external support needed to deliver KHC’s sustainability commitments.
      • Build out processes to monitor and track the global sustainability roadmap, giving visibility to key milestones and decision requirements and holding zones and functions accountable for delivering plans.
      • Create effective project management and governance surrounding key initiatives related to sustainability commitments.
      • Structure and execute forums to effectively share expectations and sustainability ambitions; facilitate idea generation, best practice sharing and preferred investment opportunities.
      • Play key role on central sustainability team; identify and propose material topics and commitments to the relevant decision bodies.

      Lead global sustainability team to successfully deliver objectives 20%

      • Recruit, engage, develop, and retain a team of managers to execute the strategy, deliver the plans, and KHC’s performance objectives.
      • Develop and coach team members as well as sustainability champions across the organization.

      Represent sustainability team in internal and external meetings globally 10%

      • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME), bringing in experience from other organizations or suppliers to appropriately challenge and build sustainability plans; support the global procurement function in sustainability related topics.
      • Interact and collaborate with senior leaders within the zones and functions, particularly the zone sustainability leads, the CPO of the Zones and Global, and other PLT members.

      Support other functions and teams as required to deliver KHC’s objectives 10%

      Expected Experience & Required Skills

      Experience

      • >3 years defining and delivering the sustainability agenda of a multinational company, preferably in the food industry.
      • >5 years leading international, cross-functional teams of senior associates in a matrix organization.
      • >10 years total professional experience which must include sustainability and at least one of the following areas: packaging, food ingredient sourcing, food manufacturing, agriculture.

      Skills

      • Simplify complex challenges into actionable initiatives.
      • Build strategies and implementation plans following a structured approach. Deliver financial and non-financial objectives according to plan.
      • Enroll stakeholders across multiple seniority levels and parts of the organization. Build winning teams and manage people to success.
      • Present to and communicate with senior management.
      • Provide expertise on sustainability topics, their materiality, relevant legislation and industry standards in the context of a multinational food company.
      • Proficient in English, Microsoft applications.
      • Understand data requirements, data models, information systems needed

      Work Environment & Schedule


      This position is considered a Normal office environment with limited travel or visits to external locations; offices are open workspaces. Additionally, this role requires on-site and remote working as needed to deliver objectives and in compliance with KHC policies and local legislation.

      • prolonged sitting and standing while operating office equipment or traveling.
