- Own and optimize Saltbox’s paid media strategy across Google and Meta
- Manage our media agency to ensure efficient, high-performance execution
- Test into new platforms (e.g., Reddit, X, outbound email, lifecycle email) with clear hypotheses and measurement frameworks
- Use audience insights and member data to drive segmentation, messaging, and targeting strategy

Conduct A/B and multivariate testing across landing pages to improve form fill rates, click-throughs, and trial/demo signups

Use tools like Google Optimize, VWO, or Optimizely (or AI-driven platforms) to rapidly test page elements: headlines, CTAs, layout, copy, and visual hierarchy + Build CRO hypotheses based on user behavior data from heatmaps (e.g., Fullstory), session recordings, and scroll-depth analytics

Personalize landing experiences using UTM parameters, geo-location, or audience segments (e.g., member type, business stage)

Continuously refine lead capture forms — testing length, field type, placement, and value exchange
- Build and lead a structured growth experimentation roadmap across new and existing channels
- Identify and test new tactics in SEO, outbound, referral, influencer marketing, and lifecycle/email marketing collaborating with the rest of the marketing team and sales
- Prioritize quick wins and high-impact initiatives while keeping long-term scalability in mind
- Design geo-targeted growth strategies tailored to Saltbox’s physical footprint in key cities + help us enter new markets as we expand
- Collaborate with field marketing, creative, community marketing and operations leads to amplify local campaigns, promotions, and events
- Optimize performance by market, using local insights to tailor creative and targeting
- Own reporting and analysis across all growth channels with support from our Growth Ops function
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track performance, CAC, LTV, and channel ROI
- Identify and implement marketing tools (including AI/automation) to enhance campaign efficiency and scalability
- Lead and mentor a small but mighty growth team and agency partners
- Work cross-functionally with content, demand gen, community, product, and sales teams
- Operate at both strategic and tactical levels — setting vision while owning execution for key campaigns
- 5–8 years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, or demand generation
- Proven success managing paid acquisition on Google and Meta (experience with Reddit/X is a plus) and website/landing page optimization.
- Proven success managing or collaborating on lifecycle/email marketing. Bonus: outbound marketing strategy experience (platforms like SMS tools, Smartlead, AI SDR tools or LinkedIn outreach)
- Bonus: experience with localized marketing or businesses with physical/geo-specific constraints
- Strong grasp of a growth experimentation framework — from ideation to measurement
- Bonus: experience with SEO, referral, and/or influencer programs
- Hands-on operator with a history of scaling early-stage companies and working in high-growth environments
- Strong analytical skills — able to dig into the data, interpret performance trends, and course-correct quickly
- Fluent in modern martech and AI-enabled tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, HubSpot, Segment, GA4, etc.)
- Strategic thinker and clear communicator who can lead cross-functional projects and bring others along
- Ability to balance the art and science required of a modern growth marketer: you are analytical and performance-minded, but also understand the key to strong messaging and creative, and know how to work with creators to get the required assets to drive performance

We’re looking for a hands-on, data-driven Director of Growth Marketing to lead Saltbox’s performance marketing efforts while unlocking new scalable channels for member acquisition and brand awareness. This role is ideal for a proven growth marketer who thrives in high-growth environments, blends analytical rigor with creative thinking, and is eager to push beyond what’s already working.
You’ll oversee paid media channels (primarily Google and Meta) and manage an agency or contractor, conversion rate optimization for our website and landing pages, own a robust experimentation roadmap (testing into new channels and running a learning agenda with focused growth experiments), and bring fresh thinking across paid, SEO, lifecycle, referral, outbound, and influencer strategies. You should be AI-enabled and up to speed on the latest in martech, with a strong foundation in performance marketing and a hunger to break new ground.
