      Job Overview:

      The Director of Talent Acquisition leads our company’s talent strategy, with a focus on attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent across Leslie’s. This position plays a critical role in fueling the company's continued growth by ensuring that we have the people capabilities to deliver exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence. This leader will oversee full-cycle recruiting for all levels of the business, while championing a strong employer brand and inclusive hiring practices.

      Key Responsibilities:

      Talent Acquisition Strategy & Execution

      • Lead and develop a high-performing talent acquisition team to support hiring across all business units, including retail stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices.
      • Develop and execute recruiting strategies that align with business goals, promote diversity and inclusion, and support company growth.
      • Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to forecast talent needs and define hiring priorities.
      • Implement and continuously improve talent acquisition processes, metrics, and technologies (e.g., ATS systems).
      • Build strong employer brand presence through marketing, social media, and recruitment events.

      Internship Program Management

      • Design, implement, and manage a robust internship program to attract early career talent.
      • Partner with universities, community colleges, and vocational schools to build pipelines of future talent.
      • Create a structured internship experience including onboarding, training, mentorship, and performance evaluation.
      • Track intern conversion rates and measure program effectiveness.

      Scholarship Program Oversight

      • Manage and promote the company’s scholarship program, aimed at supporting students pursuing education relevant to careers in retail and business.
      • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure scholarship program goals align with company values and workforce development objectives.
      • Oversee application, selection, award distribution, and recipient engagement processes.
      • Monitor impact and outcomes of the scholarship initiative.

      Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

      • Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership on workforce planning, talent trends, and succession planning.
      • Collaborate with other departments to align talent programs with broader organizational goals.
      • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts related to talent acquisition and education programs.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
      • 8–10 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
      • Experience in retail or high-volume hiring environments strongly preferred.
      • Demonstrated success in managing internship or early talent programs.
      • Experience overseeing educational programs or corporate scholarships a plus.
      • Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
      • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
