Digital Strategy Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy for TIFF.net and Shop.Tiff.net that aligns with TIFF's overall objectives.
Stay current with digital trends and emerging technologies, leveraging innovative approaches to enhance the digital presence of TIFF.
Provide analytics and reports on performance of TIFF’s digital channels.
Website and E-commerce Management:
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of TIFF.net and Shop.Tiff.net , ensuring user-friendly interfaces, mobile responsiveness, and seamless navigation.
Manage the e-commerce platform, curating a diverse range of film-related merchandise, and optimizing the online shopping experience.
Audience Engagement and Content Strategy:
Develop strategies to enhance audience engagement through both digital platforms, utilizing content, social media, SEO, online advertising, and email marketing to foster community engagement.
Work closely with TIFF’s internal marketing, creative, editorial, and content team to curate and develop compelling digital content, ensuring it resonates with the audience and supports TIFF's mission.
E-commerce Optimization:
Implement best practices in e-commerce, including product merchandising, pricing strategies, promotions, and customer service, to drive sales and customer satisfaction on Shop.Tiff.net .
Utilize data analytics to assess customer behaviour and optimize the online shopping experience, driving conversions and increasing revenue.
Partnership and Vendor Management:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and sponsors to enhance digital offerings and support joint marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create exclusive digital content and experiences for both TIFF.net and Shop.Tiff.net .
Team Leadership:
Lead and inspire a team of digital professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Provide mentorship and guidance to the team, empowering them to achieve individual and collective goals.

$90,000 - $125,000/ annually

Weekly in office requirements:
Minimum 2 days (November to May)
Minimum 3 days (June to October)
Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival
Education in Digital Media, Digital Design, Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field;
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce management, or a related field, with a focus on large-scale websites and online retail platforms.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful digital strategies for complex organizations.
Strong understanding of web technologies, content management systems, e-commerce platforms, and user experience design principles.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to optimize digital initiatives with GA4.
Experience with budgets, financial figures and business reporting.
Experience with Shopify required.
Experience in managing complex digital projects, including setting project goals, creating project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of results.
Ability to stay updated with the latest digital marketing trends, emerging technologies, and innovations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Passion for film, arts, and culture, with an understanding of the film industry.
Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends

The Director of Digital & Ecommerce for TIFF.net and Shop.Tiff.net is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and executing TIFF's digital strategies for its main website and e-commerce platform ensuring a seamless digital experience for its diverse audience. Reporting to the Head of Brand & Marketing , this role involves overseeing the development, optimization, and user experience of TIFF.net and Shop.Tiff.net . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital strategy, e-commerce management, analytics, and team leadership, with a passion for film and the arts.
