      What is the opportunity?

      The Director, Project Management, Program & Innovation within RBC’s Financial Crimes PMO is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving innovation and transformation across the Financial Crimes portfolio. This role oversees a diverse portfolio of financial crimes projects including integration of the Target Operating Model, supporting the launch of new products, regulatory remediation and Data & Technology to enhance RBC’s financial crime detection and prevention capabilities.

      What will you do?

      • Define and execute the Financial Crimes, Program & Innovation roadmap
      • Collaborate with RBCs Technology & Operations, Data Management & Analytics to pilot and scale cutting-edge financial crime solutions.
      • Lead a portfolio of high-priority Financial Crimes initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable risk reduction.
      • Oversee end-to-end program execution, including business case development, funding approvals, vendor partnerships, and implementation.
      • Implement project management methodologies to accelerate innovation while maintaining strong governance.
      • Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Innovation Specialists, fostering a high-performance culture.
      • Drive upskilling initiatives to build expertise in financial crimes compliance, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
      • Present executive-level updates to Steering Committees, Regulators, and Senior Leadership on innovation progress, risks, and ROI.
      • Monitor key indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess program effectiveness.

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must have:

      • 5+ years of experience in program management, innovation, or financial crimes compliance, preferably within banking/fintech
      • Strong knowledge of Financial Crimes programs and regulatory expectations.
      • Proficiency in RBC’s project management tools (JIRA, SharePoint, PlanView) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to senior leaders.
      • Proven track record in leading large-scale transformation projects
      • Experience managing teams of Project Managers & Business Analysts in a complex environment.

      Nice-to-have:

      • PMP, PgMP, or other relevant certifications (an asset).
