      The System Director of Staff Development, Training and Quality is responsible for the development and oversight of the AMHS Revenue Cycle Operations and all functions that fall within the operation. This includes but is not limited to: Pre-Service, Patient-facing Access Service, and Hospital and Professional Billing. The System Director will be responsible for the development and execution of a strategic vision for a progressive, standardized Training Program in our Epic environment. The System Director will be responsible to ensure standardization of curriculum while developing a creative; multi-dimensional training program for the adult learner ensuring competency. Key performance indicators will be developed and measured via a formal quality assurance program to monitor the learner's success upon completion of training program and onboarding to primary position.


      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Develop and maintain a dynamic patient-centric Revenue Cycle Operations Training Program (The Academy) including Hospital Pre-Service and Patient-Facing Access and Hospital and Practice Billing Operations in support of the Epic environment to complement the standard Epic Training — Remote and In-person options
      • In collaboration with System Revenue Cycle Leadership Team promote a Culture of Care as the foundation of the System Training Program, supporting a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, staff and providers.
      • Work in collaboration with the Epic Training Director to ensure design and training program supports operational needs for AMHS Revenue Cycle Operations.
      • Develop a high performing cross functional training team that includes both in person and remote options.
      • Recommend and incorporate traditional and modern training methods to assist a multi-generational workforce with training engagement and success. Leverage HealthStream in training course completion tracking.
      • Develop AMHS standard formatting of training materials, in collaboration with Operational Managers to ensure Training Program remains aligned with operational needs across The System.
      • Ensure System Training Program incorporates mentorship and coaching to operational learning partners. Maintain and updates all job specific manuals for positions across Revenue Cycle Operations.
      • Provide direct feedback to operational managers and directors on the progress of new hire onboarding, providing objective assessment and feedback; assist in developing plan for new hires requiring additional assistance in concert with operational managers.
      • Utilize Key Performance indicator trends to ensure The Academy is reviewed and revised to assure the training is aligned with improving KPl's supported by The Academy training.
      • Identify specific operational reports that capture staff overall performance, to identify staff needing additional training or monitoring. Collaborate with operational managers to develop remediation plan.
      • Develop a Quality Assurance Program in collaboration with operational leaders —to ensure key metrics are incorporated into training tenets and staff are aware of the importance of Quality. Ensure training team understand the quality and productivity measures set forth by the operational leaders, assuring The Academy incorporates and supports staff understanding.
      • Ensure training safeguards are in place, assuring strict compliance to regulatory requirements (ie: MSPQ, Medical Necessity).
      • Attend Campus and Department Leadership meetings to ensure alignment of Training and Operations.
      • Leverages LEAN Daily Management principles for the development of team to identify and problem solve barriers to achieving goals.


      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration or Healthcare Business - required
      • Master's Degree - preferred
      • 8-10 years progressive training program development including curriculum development, innovative training modes that incorporate methodologies for training adult learners. - required
      • Successful candidates with also have a passion for training adult learners in a healthcare setting or similar field.
      • Strong Computer Skills
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Tools, Powerpoint, and Access
      • Working knowledge of hospital and physician scheduling/registration as well as a basic understanding of hospital and physician billing
      • Strategic thinking
      • Ability to develop a cross-functional training team.
      • Ability to develop staff and patient-focused training curriculum
      • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment; must be able to manage tight timeframes.
      • Strong Project Management
      • Demonstrated flexibility to meet scheduling demands
      • Ability to develop both knowledge and confidence in staff's ability to perform their job
      • Experience with analyzing and trending quality data to develop additional training tools and programs to improve upon identified areas
      • Excellent time management and organizational skill
      • Ability to review information and draw appropriate conclusions to problem solve
      • Strong work ethic
