      Job Summary

      Under general supervision, the Transformation Deployment Lead is a key part of the team responsible for the development, standardization, and implementation of the future operating model for the last mile distributors. This role will support the Manager, Supply Chain Transformation to drive insights, progress, and process improvement through Interstate Batteries (IB) future operating model for distributor operations.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Implements process change and standard work at our Interstate Batteries (IB) distributors in support of the fulfillment center network expansion.

      • Assists with the assembly of standard work and training documentation.

      • Works with employees in the field to present and facilitate transformation curriculum.

      • Partners with distributors to implement the end-to-end operational playbook at their locations.

      • Drives project plans related to distributor readiness and audits, assessing go/no-go decisions with the supply chain transformation managers.

      • Ability to quickly assess distributor readiness and then execute a triage plan to remediate opportunities with IB front line teams.

      • Effectively develops, builds, and maintains positive relationships with internal cross functional teams and external customers (distributors, dealers, and internal corporate support groups).

      • Ability to operate independently with a field-based team with strong informal leadership and influencing skills.

      • Responsible for partnering with the field leadership teams to follow up on sustainability and completion metrics.

      • Performs other related duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of proven managerial experience in a distribution environment.

      • Progressive responsibility that includes serving in a role such as an Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, or General Manager is required.

      • Prior project management experience with exposure to continuous improvement methods.

      • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

      • Experience facilitating training with operations teams.

      • High level of detail-orientation, analytical rigor, and presentation skills

      • Ability to travel between 50-75%

      • Entrepreneurial Orientation – Looks for and seizes profitable business opportunities; willingness to take calculated risks and actively engage with distributors to achieve business goals.

      Scope Data

      • Collaborates with IBs distributor operations team, field leadership, and support center groups.

      Work Environment

      • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.

      • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.

      • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

      • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 50+ lbs.

      • May be exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.

      • Prolonged use of personal computer & telephone.

      • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
