What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform DNA/RNA extraction, Standard and Real-Time PCR, genotyping, and sequence analyses
- Conduct statistical analysis on DNA test results
- Provide expert testimony through depositions and courtroom testimony
- Teach and report Human DNA Identity and quality assurance assays
- Utilize specialized knowledge and technical skills
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Medical Technology, Genetics, or related field
- 1 year of experience in molecular biology procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to follow strict protocols and guidelines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field
- 3 years of experience in molecular biology procedures
- Ability to work as an active team member
- Coursework or training in forensics analysis, statistics, and/or population genetics
