Faculty Description
South College DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program (NAP) is searching for an enthusiastic and flexible team member who will enter at the rank of assistant/associate professor/professor, commensurate with level of experience. The full-time faculty member will collaborate with the DNP NAP team to teach didactic courses delivered in a hybrid manner (a mix of intensive on-campus sessions and synchronous/asynchronous distance education, as appropriate to the course assignment) at the graduate/doctoral level; engage in scholarship and mentorship/advisement to students, both as regular faculty mentors, and as DNP scholarly project committee memberships/chair, as needed; and provide service to the program and South College in the form institutional work, community and professional service, advocacy and scholarship. It is acceptable for this position to be filled with an on-ground appointment at South College – Knoxville Campus or as a distance faculty member. If candidate is seeking a distance faculty appointment, he/she must be willing to negotiate a minimum presence at South College – Knoxville Campus for scheduled quarterly on-campus intensive learning sessions for the students, as appropriate to their teaching load.
