Job Description
- Req#: 009DDL
- Analyzing product specifications and user needs to determine the necessary content and structure for Instruction sheets.
- Developing comprehensive Instruction sheets, including step-by-step installation and uninstallation.
- Developing detailed 2D illustrations from engineering drawings, CAD files, and other technical data.
- Managing creation process with internal or external technical illustrators.
- Collaborating closely with Offer Management, Offer Development, Project Management & Communications.
- Planning & delivery of Technical Documentation (Instruction sheets) , Technical Illustrations, 3D Digital assets, etc.
- Experience with Adobe illustrator, Adobe InDesign, IsoDraw and Creo.
- Ensuring quality, usability, safety compliance and corporate identity
- Mentoring and training junior illustrator
- Adhere to design, Safety, and dimensions guidelines.
- Securing availability of all necessary information in Schneider systems for internal (production, logistics..) and external use, etc.
- Ideally a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 7 years’ experience as technical Illustrator and 3 years in Documentation Leader role.
- Ability to explain complex, technically demanding products in easily understandable language, illustrations and animations/videos
- Reviewing and editing of technical documentation experience
- Ability to plan, manage and control several parallel projects, experience in Project Management
- Experience with standard office software, authoring & desktop publishing tools and project management software
- Understanding of hardware and software development methodology, e.g. agile approach
- Strong communication skills.

As Documentation Leader you secure on-time-delivery of Technical Documentation (Instruction sheets/Installation Instructions and Technical illustrations) for Line of Business. You coordinate internal and external resources to produce high quality print and online information to install, operate and configure our Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Products and Systems. As a leader, you will be involved in coordinating & delivering Instruction sheet, Technical Catalogs, Technical videos, 3D Digital assets.
