      Job summary

      PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A BANK POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF SET HOURS. SHIFTS WILL BE OFFERED ON AN ADHOC BASIS TO COVER SICKNESS AND HOLIDAYS.

      • To clean in all areas of the community hospital, clinical and non-clinical areas.
      • To use cleaning materials and equipment as instructed and trained by your line manager.
      • To have a good understanding of COSSH and to report any issues to your line manager.
      • To be aware of the Health and Safety Policy and report any issues of concern to their line manager.
      • To engage with patients, staff, colleagues and stakeholders and to deliver the highest standards of customer care a To provide a high quality catering service to patients in the community hospital.

      Main duties of the job

      To clean in all areas of the community hospital, clinical and non clinical areas.

      To use cleaning materials and equipment as instructed and trained by your line manager.

      Job responsibilities

      Key tasks:

      • Complies with instruction received from their line manager.
      • Ensuring proper standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at a high standard within Facilities services.
      • To be aware of and able to practice the Trusts policies and procedures pertaining to Fire, Health and Safety, First Aid, Security, untoward incidents in general and to the specific working location in particular.
      • To attend Mandatory and Statuary training sessions as required.
      • To have an understanding of C.O.S.H.H and to adhere to the guidelines.
      • Report all incidents/accidents to your line manager and the risk team.
      • Maintain good communications and co-operation with all departments.
      • To correctly use and maintain Trust equipment reporting any malfunctions and concerns to your line manager.
      • Attend regular 121s with your line manager as necessary.
      • To ensure all stock levels are maintained to replenish supplies.
      • To request cleaning or equipment supplies as and when required from your team leader or supervisor.

      • Deep clean of all equipment, walls (within reach), working surfaces, windows, (within reach), floors, dry storage areas and cupboards as per the site cleaning schedule.
      • Record temperatures of fridges and freezes, clean and sanitizer daily as per the food hygiene policy.
