      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform documentation and coding audits for all acute inpatient services, ensuring compliance with ethical coding standards
      - Conduct DRG coding and clinical reviews to verify accuracy and appropriateness of coding and DRG assignment
      - Assess clinical documentation to ensure it supports coded diagnoses and procedures
      - Provide clear recommendations and feedback to acute inpatient coders, referencing current coding guidelines
      - Maintain productivity and quality goals as set by audit leaders

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 5 years of coding experience
      - At least 3 years of facility coding audit experience, such as DRG and APC Validation
      - Proficiency in multiple EMRs, encoders, and Microsoft Office Suite
      - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
      - Must possess at least one professional certification (CCS preferred) such as CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Extensive understanding of reimbursement guidelines, specifically related to DRG payment systems
      - Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner
      - Above-average written and verbal communication skills
      - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
      - Familiarity with medical/surgical terminology
