      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform DRG Validation quality reviews for inpatient coded records to ensure appropriate DRG assignment
      - Validate codes for accuracy and compliance with coding standards
      - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve coding practices
      - Utilize advanced coding skills and knowledge of revenue cycle and billing systems
      - Maintain organized documentation and effective communication throughout the auditing process

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Education: Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or a related science-based degree such as Nursing
      - License/Certifications: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required
      - Minimum of three years of experience as an inpatient coder at a large acute care or academic teaching facility
      - Strong oral and written communication skills
      - Organizational and critical thinking abilities

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 5 years of inpatient coding experience
      - Auditing experience
      - Advanced coding skills and knowledge of EPIC Electronic Health Record and 3M Encoder
      - ICD 10 training
      - Familiarity with Computer Assisted Coding software (CAC)
